Dear fandom (more specifically the G.U. fandom),

What is it with you guys and colors? Enough with the strange color similes, more specifically 'honey brown.' I know you want to try to keep from having to repeat a character's name over and over again, but you don't need to come up with weird similes just to help your reader distinguish characters.

For example: One fic describes Ovan as "cornflower haired." In fact, they use it more than twice in one chapter. *whips guilty author(s) in the palm with a ruler* QUIT THAT. Once is enough. It would probably be more preferable to never use it. "Blue-haired"? Okay, sure. Again, don't overuse it. But "cornflower haired"? Knowing a rarer name of an existing color does not a smart fic make. Even worse is if you use the same type of comparison for every other character in every other sentence.

And for DOYC's sake, EDIT YOUR FIC. Read it backwards. Ask a friend who knows grammar and spelling to beta it for you. Just correct any mistakes you have before you publish it! I can count the number of fanfic that didn't have this problem with my fingers. That. Is. Just. Sad.

FSDAJKLFDJKAAAAAAARRRRRGH!! HATE HATE HATE! Let's put it this way: Not only do they rarely interact in the show, but their fans are the some of the most bigoted, hypocritical pricks I have ever come across.

Not really. ^^;; There are people whose sites I used to go to a lot that shipped them.

Sachiko and Yumi are lying in a hammock together on a warm summer night, gazing at the stars and softly talking while holding hands. Nothing too big or dramatic. I have a fondness for quiet scenes like that.

The last scene of episode 25.

5. How long have you been following #6 (Roxas/Axel)?
Pretty much since I got the game.

I still do have sort-of an interest in them, and I was thrilled when there was a hinting of an actual attraction (they were my crack pairing at the time). However, that was also around the time the show started bastardizing Philly Phil's character. They turned him from a nerdy-yet-cute geek to a stereotypical nerd with a penchant for gross-out jokes and possibly stalking. DO NOT WANT!

As an added bonus, Kim's turning into a bit of a stereotype as well. ALSO DO NOT WANT!

7. Which ship do you prefer: #2 (Kambei/Kyuzo) or #4 (Haseo/Silabus)?
Oh, not cool...probably #4, as my current obsession is G.U.

Not to mention the chances of a non-tragic relationship happening in Samurai 7 is near zilch. And, oh yeah, ONE KIND OF CEASED EXISTING AT THE END OF THE SERIES.

#12; it would be kind of hard to make #10 nonexistent with Endrance's personality and how he joined Haseo's team in the first place.

Critiques. I don't like being slapped with, "you suck" or similar hurtful words, but at the same time I don't like people pretending to like my work when they really don't (nor do I like when someone says they didn't like my work and don't leave a reason, but that is for another time). It's true that having your work shot down is tough--no matter how long you've been writing--but in the long run constructive criticism really does help a person become a better writer.

Hey. You elitist bastards who have supposedly played every RPG out there. Especially you IGN and GameFAQ members. Guess what?

I like .hack//G.U. and Final Fantasy XII. I didn't like Tales of the Abyss. Does that make me a bad person? NO.

I agree FFXII is nowhere near the best Final Fantasy game ever--at least in my opinion. But like .hack//G.U. and Tales of the Abyss, it's still a damn good game. Unlike Tales of the Abyss, however, it doesn't make me want to brutally murder almost every character in it.

I'm willing to bet most of you haven't actually played FFXII (or only played the beginning, which I admit is kind of dull). Your type only won't because "IT OVERSHADOWED TALES OF TEH ABYS STOOPID SQUARE WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!111" or "ITS NOT LIKE OTHER FF GAMES STOOPID SQUARE WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!111" And your fear of the battle system? I've said it once, and I'll say it again: It's not as complicated as it looks.

In short, get over yourselves. Played FFXII and didn't like it? Good for you. Played Tales of the Abyss and didn't like it? Good for you. So quit flinging your shit at people just because they liked one game over the other. I certainly don't need it for ToA. I feel bad enough being the only person I know (who has played it) who isn't fond of it.

Here's my view of the whole Japanese fanart ordeal that goes around every big fandom that comes along. I'm going to use bold letters because people never seem to get the idea.

THIS IS GOING BY WEBSITES ONLY. I'll explain why later.

I don't support it to an extent. Why? Because most likely if an artist running their website does not want to have their stuff used and they catch someone in, say, America doing so anyway, they may block the IP addresses of everyone in that country. Yes, they can do that. In other words, people who use fanart for their icons or whatever when the maker clearly says on their website that they don't want them to, ruin it for the rest of us. And you know what? Most likely they won't give a damn if you knew where it came from or not.

If the artist never mentions anything and then get pissy when it does happen, then I'll agree its their own fault. It's when people use fanart of those who make it more than slightly obvious that they don't want them to be used that it pisses me off.

Doujinshi...I'm still debating on that myself, as it is an entirely different matter. BUT I BEG OF EVERYONE, IF A PERSON RUNNING A WEBSITE CLEARLY DOES NOT WANT THEIR ART USED FOR ANY PURPOSE, PLEASE RESPECT THEM AND DON'T TOUCH THEM. IT IS NOT THAT FUCKING HARD TO USE MANNERS.

In fact, if you REALLY want to use that art, you could (GASP!) ask for the artist's permission. If there is a language gap, that's what sites like Babelfish are for. If you're not sure of the artists' language abilities, apologize for your own crappy language skills. They'll understand.
